Unprofessional behaviour you've witnessed from the builder ?

Just overheard the carpet fitters downstairs argue over team work and refusing to work Saturdays. Started as a disagreement in a normal tone conversation and quickly escalated to one of the fitters shouting at the other two. Had to intervene and tell them to do this elsewhere and how unprofessional it was of them to argue on the job.

Admittedly, nothing very exciting but what poor/unprofessional behaviour have you heard or seen from your builder ?

Was I unreasonable for stepping in ?

Contractor working on the fire cladding remediation project on our building, standing on the scaffolding, happily smoking a cigarette, leaning on my balcony five floors up. All with no fire protection on our building at the time. I may have shouted loudly at him out of the window. Irresponsible arsehole.

That has made me laugh a lot!

The builders that were doing work in next door's house dumped all the rubbish in my garden, damaging my plants etc.

I told them politely that they'd dumped it in my garden. They told me they'd move it later 'love' and not get my knickers in a twist (which they all thought was highly amusing). They kept adding more crap to the pile in my garden at first. I had to eventually demand they moved it elsewhere immediately or I'd call the police. I overheard them insulting me but I'm glad I confronted them.

They left a right state in next door's garden afterwards and apparently left a mess inside as well. The whole team were disgusting.

I was getting a boiler fitted. Now I appreciate people need the loo. However, I answered the door to the boiler man, there was no…..“hello I’m here to fit your boiler”……..just ….”where’s your loo?”

Off he trotted and then spent the next 15 minutes doing, what I can only assume was a massive crap in my loo.

The smell. I only live in a little house and it was like Armageddon. Violated 😂

He could at least have said hello before he took a dump.

I see him around driving his van and still say “that’s the gas man who crapped in my loo”

Also had poo-gate at mine. Soon as one of the younger of the 3 builders turned up in the morning. Did a big poo, which I later discovered as it hadn't flushed

Not as bad as some other posts here but I found it really weird. Carpet fitter upon seeing my extremely narrow bathroom burst out laughing saying "thats the narrowest bathroom I've ever seen" then took a picture of it to send to his pals!

@Iamtired123 I have a tiny bathroom myself and have a Pinterest board of ideas for daydreaming about renovating it. Including some narrow bathrooms. The narrowest I’ve found so far is this one, does yours beat it?
