Covid isolation between two homes…

Posting here for traffic, can’t really find anything about it online….

DSD tested positive at mums house on Saturday. DH, 2DC and I all tested positive on Sunday. We’ve all been isolating.

DSD was due to be at our house from Friday evening. There is a chance that we will all be testing negative, however if DSD is testing negative but we’re still testing positive can she still be here safely?

I know she won’t be able to catch it again but is there a chance she could then carry back to mum’s house, school, etc.?

If it makes a difference, we’re 99% sure she caught it when she was with us so it’s the same strain, etc.

I suppose it’s:
YABU - of course she can’t come until you’re all negative
YANBU - she’s fine to visit you as she’s only just had the virus

For me it's a YANBU

LoganberryJam · 08/03/2022 20:31

I think that's fine OP.

She can still visit, subject to being able to get to you if the adults are still positive.

Yup - even positive/isolating children can move between separated parents houses. Nadine Dorries covered it in parliamentary questions.

She absolutely cannot catch it from you and pass it to anyone else if she has just had covid the previous week. That is completely impossible.
