Will my emotional come off the monthly rollercoaster after menopause?

Did you find your mood was on a more even keel after menopause? I have pmdd, can have panic/anxiety around ovulation and pre menstrually plus the usual crying at anything and I wondered if this became more stable once hormones weren't going crazy monthly? Theoretically it should but real life experiences would really help me.

Thanks

Hmm, menopause may help but peri-menopause may well make things worse and can last for a while so I wouldn't pin your hopes on it. Would something like the mirena coil help to stabilise your hormones through the month?

I agree with the above. I'm finally starting to gradually see the other side and yes, I feel muchore stable emotionally, but that's after almost 8 years that were my worse emotionally.

Saying that everyone is different, she sail through it, some do once they take hrt.

Yes, I do worry about peri menopause reading up about symptoms - I'll probably be in for a rough and unpredictable ride. It's so crazy what hormones can do to you emotionally.
I do think it's great that there's more focus and openness around peri/menopause but then it also increases your awareness of what's potentially to come!

@UnaOfStormhold GP has mentioned coil for this and migraines. Part of me is too scared to get one, probably lack of awareness of the procedure and bad tales from others who've had them!

Hmm, having the coil inserted wasn't comfortable (like a slightly longer than usual smear test) and I had a day of cramps afterwards, but since then it has been riding along quite happily, no periods bar the occasional bit of spotting. I think I'd definitely take that as an alternative to migraines!
