Airbnb - not Informing hosts of under 5's

Long term poster, couldn't access old account.

So me and a family member are looking to stay in London for a few days, we will have two under 5's and a couple more over 5 year old children between us.

Would we be unreasonable to say we have 4 people when we actually have 6?
Because it's common for there to be an extra payment charge per person and it's difficult to find somewhere affordable in London anyway...

Have you looked at YHA places? They do dorms for 6 people, or 5? And quite cheap for location.

It's a darned nuisance that they removed all the left luggage lockers from the stations. You could have stuffed a couple of kids in one of those and it would only have cost you a few bob for twenty-four hours storage. Grin

Some air bnb hosts live in the property next door or above or below. I don't think I'd risk this.

Yes, London is expensive. And Yes, it's more expensive for 6 people than for 4. That will be true when they're 16 as well as when they're under 5.

Under 5s don't add to wear and tear as much as bigger people in some ways, but they add more in others. It's not anymore okay to lie about them than it is to lie about older guests.

Under 5s are more likely to drop or throw food, so additional cleaning...
