It is a slap in the face for teachers across the country who had to mop up the results of his extreme incompetence, while being treated by him with complete contempt.

It is an insult to any student who was caught up in the exam grade algorithm scandal, some of whom lost university places as result.

It is a kick in the teeth for any child affected by his mismanagement of schools during covid, whether through opening them in an unsafe manner, closing them in a chaotic fashion, not having a plan in place for when exams were cancelled again, or the total lack of leadership around remote education provision.

It makes a mockery of the honours system which allows the Prime Minister to bribe people who have secrets he'd rather they didn't reveal, people who were sacked from government for leaking state secrets, so can hold no claim to service for country, or a job well done.

Shame on this government.

It's all a load of bollocks. Calling anyone sir or dame should have been left in the last century and don't bet me started on OBEs and MBEs. I didn't think we had an empire anymore, why on earth do peope accept these silly letters after their name?!

It's strange, he seemed pretty much a non entity, certainly not someone deserving of a knighthood. Very fishy, IMO.

He obviously knows stuff. Wasn't there a photo of him at his desk with a book and a whip on the desk in front of him and there was speculation that it was a warning to the people who wanted him out that he had notes of things that were damaging- or did I dream that?
