MN calendar of which posts you will see and when.
January - New Years resolutions are a load of bollocks/best thing ever
February - it's stupid to care about Valentines Day, he didn't get me anything for Valentines Day, and the only acceptable pancakes are thin crepe style ones (from scratch)
March - WBD and all the lazy fuckers using store-bought Disney costumes. This is followed by Mothers Day and "no one got me anything" vs "anyone expecting gifts is wrong, the children are the gift". There will be a minimum of five threads about the word "mom" spotted on a card in a shop and this is a sign of encroaching Americanisms. These posters will be shocked to realise that Birmingham exists.
April - Easter and the judgement around giving DC "too many" chocolate eggs (on MN "too many" ranges somewhere between zero and one), for variety there will be a few "MIL gave my 5.9 month old baby a sniff of chocolate, I'm going NC" threads
May/June - where should we go on holiday?
July/August - we're on holiday and I hate it
September - back to school and everyone is either elated or devasted, uniform violations abound
October - Halloween and trick or treating are horrid American imports. These posters are shocked to learn that Scotland, Northern Ireland, and NE England exist.
November - fuck off, fireworks
December - chaos. Santa is a horrid American import, the posters are once again shocked to learn that Scotland, NI, and NE England still exist. The in-laws are visiting. The in-laws aren't visiting. Someone dared to buy a child a gift. Someone is doing Christmas differently to how the OP does Christmas, burn the witch.
It's the circle of life.
