Hopeless in terms of lasting. I have had 3 which have all packed up not long after being out of guarantee.

AlisonDonut · 02/03/2022 21:01

I used mine to prove my lack of sleep to the GP when I had horrendous menopause symptoms. Turns out I also had osteoporosis by that point. It was worth it for that alone.

I like to know how many steps I've done in the day, and because I know my limits, at what point I am due to flake out in the evening.

Anonymous48 · 02/03/2022 21:04

I have a Charge 2 and love it. Way cheaper than an iPhone or something like that! I think the step count is pretty accurate, and I like the app to keep track of exercise and sleep. I also really like that it will vibrate when I get a text and show me the text on the screen.

Whether it's worth it to you personally, only you can decide. Worth it in what way?

ImInStealthMode · 02/03/2022 21:05

I have a Versa 2 and no problems with it (so far!). Having had a basic charge in the past I appreciate the GPS that means I can run without having to carry my phone to track route and distance.

@Looubylou

I love mine for steps and heart rate, and reminder to move. Very motivational. Steps not completely accurate. Sleep tracker rubbish - over estimates. Can't be bothered to investigate other functions. Ridiculously pleased when I get fireworks for 100000 steps 😊
You should be pleased if you get 100,000 steps in one day! Wink
MrsSkylerWhite · 02/03/2022 21:06

No. You can only do what you can do.

CaptaNoctem · 02/03/2022 21:06

Haven't worn mine since they sold out to google who can now collect lots of lovely extra data on you!

They say they don't cross reference with your internet data but then they would wouldn't they!

Woofwoofbarkbark · 02/03/2022 21:10

Why do you want one? Do you need to know what your precise heart rate is 4x a day? Do you need to know precisely how many steps you've done? Because you can take your own heart rate whenever you like with your fingers and you know if you've done fuck all steps because you wouldn't have moved very much that day.

NumberTheory · 02/03/2022 21:11

I liked mine for about 6 months but tired of it. I find the gamification annoying and it puts me off exercising! It worked pretty well but there were definitely ways it failed (car rides also added to my step count if I wasn’t careful and it frequently failed to count flights of stairs). This was about 4 years ago. From what I’ve seen there are better devices out there now.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 02/03/2022 21:12

I bought a second hand one and it's brilliant!
Not sure I'd buy new when it packs in but I do really like it

SparklyLeprechaun · 02/03/2022 21:13

I love mine, have had various models over the years, currently on a Versa 2. Pretty accurate for steps, maybe it overestimates a little bit, good at workouts, good for sleep tracking, alarm function and reminders to move useful. Water resistant so I can keep it on in the shower.

nearlyspringyay · 02/03/2022 21:14

I developed an allergy to the metal at the back on my last one, not uncommon apparently. I also became quite obsessive about the steps and sleep. I wore them constantly for about four years (went through three). I don't miss it at all.

Hopeishere52 · 02/03/2022 21:25

I have the versa 2 and really like it. It looks attractive. Records step count pretty accurately and works well with gps on my phone, so I can map my walks. I make use of monitoring active minutes, setting goals, food log, I think it does really motivate me, to put more effort into my exercise and to move more often.

Selkiesarereal · 02/03/2022 21:28

I have a versa 3 and really like it for tracking my exercise. I don’t know it’s accuracy in terms of steps but the gps is very good at calculating distance as it equals my Strava app.

I also like the reminders to move as I have a tendency to sit at my desk not moving for hours on end which isn’t great.

Apologies, double checked and mine is the Versa 3, not 2.

tyoy · 02/03/2022 21:34

i like mine for all the stuff, heart, steps, sleep etc although I have it set on my dominant hand & wear it on non-dominant to reduce step over counting

lljkk · 02/03/2022 21:47

hmmm... DD has my old Charge2 which I bought off a friend in 2019. It's 5-6 years old & going strong.
