Last time you had an appointment with a dentist?

Just wondering really.
For us, it was before Covid. Not too bothered for the adults in the family, but I'm worried for my child. Her last routine appointment was June 2019, when she was told she would most likely need braces in the future.
Should I be pushing for an appointment or are we still in 'place' where it's just emergencies that get seen?

Last week. Had two or three checkups since Covid.

Easter last year

@Anonymous48 you're a proper keyboard warrior, aren't you?! 😂😂
Read my OP again - I haven't made a complaint - I've asked Mumsnet a question.
I have knowledge of my dentist, I simply asked other people for their experiences. And then I asked for advice, ie 'should I chase it up?'
You need to read the thread and sense the tone. It's a genuine and sensible question.

We were all seen months ago and follow up treatment carried out. Got my six month check up coming up now.

All last got checked in September and have appointments for beginning of April. I usually go every couple of years but I'm trying to make more of an effort with my dental hygiene

2019.....dentist cancelled appointments for myself and 3 x DS during lockdown. Finally had appointments booked in for Jan 19th but cancellation letters arrived in the post a week before. Phoned to rebook and earliest we could get was July....2023! I explained that it will be FOUR YEARS since children last seen but told there was nothing they could do....but they do have some earlier private appointments available, if I’d like to give up our NHS places and pay......

I'm not sure what your point is. I just don't understand why you haven't just given them a ring to try and make an appointment.

More than 10 years Blush I even recently started a thread about it.

I’ve got an appointment this Thursday so I’m changing things and will try and go regularly from now on. I have dental anxiety due to bad childhood dental experiences so I’m not just ignorant about looking after my teeth,

emmathedilemma · 28/02/2022 21:03

I last went in Dec 2019 but rang last week and got an appointment for a check up next week. I could have gone this week but the available appointments clashed with things I already had in the diary. I was expecting to have to wait months!

I’ve had about 4 appointments since Covid! As soon as she was able our dentist was getting all the patients in for check ups and then rushing getting things fixed so that they were fixed in case another lockdown started again
