There has been a fuck up regarding deposit transfer for our wedding venue. The contract which we signed has a section that states 'all bank transfer payments must be sent to' and the company's account name, sort code etc. Therefore when we signed and sent back the contract, we deposited the money into the stipulated account. The wedding co-ordinator when she sent me the paperwork said 'here is the contract attached, please see bank details below for deposit transfer' stupidly, I did not realise that they were two different accounts (I know I should have checked!) but why send out a contract with the wrong details!? Surely this is the legally binding document and it should be correct. Had the email read 'please transfer to the account below as the contract is wrong' I would have paid a lot more attention. She got in touch asking if we had sent the money as accounts haven't received it. I know I've fucked up but, surely they should honour this if we can't find the money!?
