My child attends a specialist school for young people with ASD and complex needs.
One of the young people there, a 17 year old boy holds a grudge against her for a perceived 'wrong doing' by her 18 months ago.
12 months ago he tried to physically attack her and she was only saved from harm by a quick thinking bus driver who closed the doors of the bus so the bot couldn't get to her. We reported this incident to the police at the time because school appeared to be taking no action other than excluding my daughter from school for her own safety.
Two weeks ago, as he passed her in the dining room at school, he called her a rapist. He apparently received a 'consequence' for this. No idea what.
And then on Thursday, he was allowed by staff to graffiti "E is a rapist" "E is a paedo" and "E is a nonce" over doors, and the walls of a corridor and common room. Staff didn't try to prevent him because "a staff member might have got hurt". So this continued for 30 minutes whilst staff watched and most of the student population saw what he'd written.
Thing is, my daughter got hurt - not physically but still hurt.
I have had no communication from the school to say how they I tend to deal with this and how they are going to make school safe for my daughter
Is this something I should report to the police again? Or would they not be interested? Would that be an over reaction?
