To ask how to get rid of gin headache/hangover

I didn’t drink in the last 5 years. I met a friend today I had some gin. I’m back at my hotel now, and I have a pounding headache. I’m attending a work related conference tomorrow morning and can’t have a hangover or shit because I’m presenting.
I know, I shouldn’t have gotten drunk, but wtf. I only had 2 rounds. Just very little gin with tonic.

What can I do now - to not have this headache or hangover tomorrow Blush
How much water should I drink? Shall I take ibuprofen?

Ok, took ibuprofen now and drank the rest of the 500ml bottle. Ate the sandwich and a banana.

Going to bed now.

Thanks all x

2 gins? Have a berroca in the morning. You'll be fine.

User112 · 21/02/2022 03:04

Yep, serious. Just 2.
I woke up just now - 2:45am and can’t sleep. I stopped boozing years ago and this is what happened to my body after just 2 drinks. Awful headache 🤕 and now thirst

Adrenaline will get you through tomorrow.

You sound unwell
Unless you have a bizarre allergy to alcohol 2 drinks would not cause you to be dehydrated for 8 hours. Your body would clear 2 units of alcohol in 2 hours. So you've had about 7 alcohol-free sleep hours.
Are you generally quite anxious? This honestly sounds like anxiety or illness not alcohol

OP, unless there is a drip feed, you are being a bit dramatic. Painkillers, water and sleep is all you need

MichelleScarn · 21/02/2022 08:08

How's the head this morning op?

gamerchick · 21/02/2022 08:16

Are you sure you're not ill. It's a bit of an extreme reaction to a couple of gins.

This thread! 😂

This all sounds very odd to be honest. Have you never in your life had a headache and needed to take some painkillers etc..?
