Hi I'm posting here for traffic really...I'm finding all of the guidelines confusing

We are planning on going to Italy in July...northern Italy...so we may fly into Innsbruck (Austria)

What are the current rules/guidelines?

Both adults are double jabbed...
Dc not vaccinated...
We have all had COVID also...

Thank you.

As far as I can see (we are going to one of those countries this year and three of my friends have gone to the other) you need to be fully vaccinated as adults and your last vaccine needs to be within 270 days of entering the country (so at least 2 vaccines and boostered if timing requires it).
Children need to be vaccinated if 12 or over (and need both doses).
If child has not had vaccine then I understand for Italy they are allowed into the country if with a parent but will not be allowed into restaurants etc. I'm not sure about Austria as regards to children.
You no longer need to do a PCR test prior to admission to Austria but I assume you will need to for unvaccinated children. I think Italy is the same.
I assume they will change their rules so that 5-11 year olds will need to be vaccinated now that that's on offer as well.

Ah there in lies a problem I suppose

I can't get boostered (I have been left with heart problems as a result of the vaccine! 😩)

Dc are 6 and 9 and I'm not vaccinating them as a result of what happened me.

We are staying in private accommodation so hotels/restaurants are not absolutely necessary. I wonder will they need vaccine status for activities?

Hopefully things will change to benefit us. Thank you @TheHomesickRestaurant

Details for Ireland/Austria entry into Italy

The problem at the moment would be unvaccinated children over the age of 6. Italy is vaccinating all children from 5 up so any child over 6 has to follow the same rules as adults. Obviously that could change before you plan to travel.

That's the list of regulations at the moment from Ireland into Austria.
