Posted in here for traffic. I got a note from my pension company about this meaning I will be 68 before state pension kicks in if the motion is passed. I just don’t know how this will work will older people be blocking jobs, will we be able to do our jobs at that age. I know I can’t build up my pension pot to be able to use it to retire early.

It's already 67 so this is moving the change to 68 earlier. Sadly. This was always going to be on the cards.

And gives people min 15 years heads up it's happening.

I guess people have 13 years to save up one years income to retire at 67 still - if they hear about the change.

I think we will just shift people onto universal credit as they get too ill to work or get managed out. So many jobs cant be done until 68.

State pension will all come to an end and providing for yourself will have to happen. But I think they a phasing these things in for a generation that are too old often to make it up to have any hope of retiring before the current 67 and the proposed 68. Feel even sorrier for the generation above who lost thousands I think they tried to get it reversed .
