To take children business class

We're flying long haul in a few months (12 hours) and the thought of doing that with my 2 year old and 4 month old in economy is really not appealing! I know people don't like kids on planes anyway and even more so if they've paid lots of money for their seat. But we'll have paid lots of money too so is it really that awful to take them business class?

I travelled 7 hour business with my husband and two kids who must have been two and four. It was a work trip for him (his flight paid for by the company but not me or kids). His colleagues filled up most of business and everyone was doing the 'oh who gets to sit next to the kids ha ha'. Well the lucky man who did had my son chat to him for five minutes and then nothing - my kids always travelled well on flights.
So absolutely take your kids in business or first. They have as much right to be there as anyone. Go prepared - snacks, change of clothes, iPad - whatever will keep them entertained, snd hope they sleep for a good part of the trip!
By the way will another adult be with you? I kinda remember some rule about not being one adult with two very young kids/babies.

I've been on long-haul business class flights with babies and toddlers and it was fine. They weren't my kids but they didn't cause any trouble.

I flew business class to Vancouver with BA and a woman travelling solo with her baby was in business too. The child was well behaved and didn’t notice he was there! Go for it if you can afford it and know your child won’t play up.

If you can afford it, go for it.

I fly a lot and the most disturbing passengers are the loud snorers, the loud moaners, and the loud entitled ones who think it's okay to snap at the flight crew when they run out of a meal, or have forgotten to explain to you in great detail where each wine comes from, or other such non-issues.

Business class is still public transport. If you don't like it, fly private.
