Tax avoidance

To not know how to feel about someone brazenly telling me they are going to avoid a lot of tax in a way that can't possibly be legal because "they don't want to pay it". I have suspected that their issues previously haven't been someone else's fault like they have previously claimed - seems to be now like a pattern of behaviour.

Especially considering their DS keeps love-bombing my DD regarding how they are destined to be together and giving her gifts. Thing is they are close as friends, less so now. Not quite of an age where anything could have actually happened.

Not quite sure what to do moving forward.

I'm still confused.

How are they avoiding tax? Do you know how for sure? And has this been happening for a while?

If they're evading tax from earnings in the UK, report them to HMRC. If they're setting up a fund in the Cayman Islands and ploughing masses of money into that, I'd probably wish them good luck.

The situation sounds a bit strange overall though, so probably best to give these people a wide berth and forget about their tax arrangements. The distance will be good for your daughter as well if she's not enjoying their son's attention.

You think the love bombing and their DS is related to tax evasion how exactly?

And if you mean sex by “not quite of an age where anything could have happened” - your DD is 17! Confused
