AIBU to ring GP back?

So I will preface this by saying I do suffer with health anxiety so I need a rational person to give me some guidance please.

About 3 months ago I had a mild infection (doctors words) which caused the glands in my groin to swell and become tender. The infection passed and they reduced in size and stopped hurting within a few days. However I still have one gland that is slightly raised (pea sized), not tender anymore and it's rubbery to touch. Dr said this is probably nothing especially as I have no other symptoms. As he knows I'm anxious he offered to do blood test to rule anything out.

Bloods came back this week, all normal apart from ever so slightly out of range readings of 2 white blood cells. Dr said this is most likely as I'm recovering from an infection, plus having had COVID just before blood test etc but that he wants to repeat in a month to make sure they are settling and not getting worse.

Last night I was in the shower and I decided to feel the glands area again and now I'm worried that a couple of others are slightly raised.

My question is: do you think I should ring GP back and ask them to actually feel the area in person as I only had this done right after the initial infection and not since. Or am I being a hypochondriac and should I wait out the blood results and see how it goes? I know glands are very sensitive and can go up and down very easily but I'm just a worrier and can't get the idea of some kind of cancer out of my head!!

Do phone.
A GP should be happy to see you to put your mind at rest.

You are perfectly reasonable to report new or worsening symptoms. Definitely get in touch but be aware that the existing plan of waiting a month will likely still stand

Report it and you'll probably be seen. I have issues with my lymph nodes. I have post viral fatigue as well. I've been on the cancer pathway around four times. They like to be on the safe side.
