MADE.com is dreadful company, best avoided

So, I placed an order at Made in November. Initially I was advised that it would be a 16 week wait for the item - not ideal but thought it would be OK. Since then I have had an email saying delayed to mid-April and I rang them today to check status and found out they are now predicting early May.

That's 5 months they've been sitting on £220 of my money without providing a product. I told them I wasn't happy and they offered me a voucher for £15! That's it (less than 10% of the value of the order).

So I cancelled my order - I just don't trust them to deliver. AIBU to think this is a shit company, that takes people's money knowing they are going to have problems fulfilling the order in a reasonable timescale just to keep cashflow up.

Yes, they’re a nightmare for pushing back delivery dates. I waited months longer than expected for a piece of furniture.

Obviously a gluten for punishment I ordered some homeware from them a few weeks ago and made sure to only choose the items that were ready for dispatch. It’s now been weeks again. When I contact them they keep saying the items are in the warehouse and will be dispatched in 5 working days. Then it doesn’t happen. I still want the items but don’t know whether to cancel incase they’re on the verge of going bust.

Yup buyer beware. Pretty items but god forbid you need to speak to customer service. Not as bad as Hermes … but be very careful ordering anything online.

My awful experience happened before Covid and Brexit!

I ordered a work chair that took months to arrive. When it finally did it didn't work. I was then expected to package it back up and pay to have it sent back to them!

After much arguing over 6 weeks they finally picked it up and I had a refund. It felt like they were a company when everything becomes the customer's problem to resolve.

Never again ....

I have to disagree with not trusting them.

My garden furniture was delayed, yes I agree with that, but it's an international supply problem and supply chain issues. They kept me up to date with the new delivery time.

The furniture did arrive; is utterly amazing and was worth the wait.
