Need to move

Hi all,
I'm in a 2 bed flat(1 box single and a small double). I have 3 children aged 13, 7, and 2 months.
I share the small double with my partner 7 year old and 2 month old baby.
I've been contacting my landlord on many occasions regarding moving and all I keep getting is "bid, house exchange and home swap"...
I've been on all 3 of these for the past 7 years and not getting anywhere. It is actually stressing me out.

What can I do? Any good advice please?

Sound like you need to rent through a private landlord to get the space you need. Are you planning on having a 4th child? If so then build that into the move plans?

most people I know think of the implications before having a child OP - but anyway its too late now your child is here and your house is too small - I don't see what you can do other than keep bidding!

I have a tiny 2 bed - i cant ever afford to move it looks like...so I have to stick with 1 child

Completely agree you should’ve thought of this before having more children.

There isn’t a perfect solution. You’ll need to figure out the least worst option, whether that’s taking a high rise flat or putting up with a sofa bed.

Private rental? Council can help you with deposit/guarantor.

I think you and your partner are going to have to suck it up and sleep on the sofa bed, so that your children can have adequately sized rooms.
I know you said he has arthritis but, by having a third child in an already crowded home, unfortunately that is a sacrifice you're going to have to make.

I can't believe you put your 7yo on the sofa bed to be honest! It's not for the kids to accommodate you.

Who really thinks about the implications before having a child?

Thanks to everyone that came with positive advice...

I don't think some people understand... I didn't plan on having anymore children after my second.. as you see there is a 7 year gap between my youngest and baby.. when I found Out I was pregnant with my baby I was going to give baby up... I don't believe in all that nonsense...

However I am I hard work mum who works for the nhs and my partner is a security guard.. we are both working full-time( right now I'm on mat leave)... I will take in most of the advice given. Thanks again
