To think I could still be pregnant

yummymummy1230 · 13/02/2022 18:40

Ok guys hear me out I know I probably sound crazy

I'm 16 days late on my periods. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests both negative. I don't know what it is but I have a gut feeling I'm pregnant. Could this even be possible? I do feel like my breast have gone slightly bigger and also I have a lot more discharge that usual. Don't even know if the second one is a symptom lol

Has this ever happened to anyone ?? Anyone ever experienced something like this.

I'm thinking to take a blood test just to be 100% sure I'm not pregnant. Main reason being I'm flying out of the country next week and Iv ordered pills from GP so I don't start my periods while being away. Now because my and DH have been TTC for nearly 2 years I don't want to take any risks at all if I could be pregnant by taking these pills.

Again I know I might sound crazy but I just feel so convinced an I don't know how else to put my mind at ease? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank u guys

This happened to me I was convinced I was pregnant. Turned out if was overactive thyroid. I had no other symptoms so I'd suggest getting it checked with GP just to be sure thyroid issues are linked to difficulty conceiving.

CatOfTheLand · 13/02/2022 19:32

I was 10days+ late with each pregnancy before I got a positive test. I got negative tests with my second child for quite a while so didn't realise I was pregnant for about 9 weeks I think

3Daddy31982 · 13/02/2022 19:39

It will be the covid jab.

Op would u really like to be pregnant

WingingIt101 · 13/02/2022 19:43

A friend of mine had no idea she was pregnant until she delivered her own baby at home. She had a hospital pregnancy test to confirm she was ok to go under general anaesthetic for an op. It is possible for pregnancy to be missed and tests to give the wrong answer but without more checks from doctors it’s impossible to say.

Depending on where you are / access to doctors appointments I’d ask to see them tomorrow and explain the urgency being related to the tablets you’re due to take. Hopefully they’ll see you quick and confirm one way or another.

I hope it’s dodgy tests and you are pregnant as it sounds like that would be wonderful news for you!

loislovesstewie · 13/02/2022 19:44

Do you have a funny metallic taste in your mouth? That was how I always knew I was pregnant even before I had missed a period.

SartresSoul · 13/02/2022 19:47

As others have said, it could be the vaccine. Could also be stress, sickness, change in diet or exercise or just one of those things. Some months you skip ovulation so in turn skip menstruation. I’ve missed periods a few times in my life and I wasn’t pregnant. It’s unlikely you are with two negative tests when you’re so far past your expected period date, sorry.

Namechange8787 · 13/02/2022 19:54

You sure you're not reading 'dye stealers' as negative?

yummymummy1230 · 13/02/2022 20:04

It's just that this is the first time Iv been this late to be honest. I now do think it could be the vaccine like others have mentioned.

Awww @WingingIt101 thank you! I really hope I am pregnant haha. Fingers crossed. That's why I was thinking i have to be sure. Iv heard so many stories of people not knowing they're pregnant because they've had negative tests but end up having a baby. I know them cases are quite rare. But I just can't take the risk especially because of the tablets il be taking.

Il call Gp first thing tomorrow to see what can be done just to confirm and put my mind at peace with this whole situation. I think a blood test could confirm it too.

@Namechange8787 sorry what does dye stealers mean? Never heard that before lol. X

@loislovesstewie Hey no I don't have any metallic taste or anything like that. To be honest when I had my DD I had no symptoms at all so had no idea I was pregnant until I missed my periods. So I don't have anything to compare it to lol I only have the one child

The package insert of the purple cap adult pfizer vaccine can be downloaded here if anyone wants to see for themselves. Scroll to the section on pregnancy. It's only been tested on a few rats.

@Namechange8787 I don't blame you to be honest, it would be best for you to hold off as long as you possible can. I had mixed feelings myself about the vaccine especially because I was TTC. The main reason why I got it was because of my job and also because I had to travel otherwise I would of delayed it for aslong as I could.

It's hard because so many people say different things. An the truth is we will never truly know what are the side effects of it an can it reallt affect fertility. I truly hope it doesn't.

I know plenty of fully vaccinated people who have got pregnant.

Namechange8787 · 13/02/2022 20:55

Hopefully in your case it'll all right itself soon and you'll fall pregnant easily, but you're right, there's no way of knowing what it's doing to fertility long term as Pfizer aren't monitoring this yet. Also, people like yourself and the several other women on here who've had their cycles buggered up from it rarely bother to report the side effects on the website you're supposed to do so on.

Which is here if you decide you'd like to do it vaers.hhs.gov/esub/index.jsp. and ALSO do it here if you're in the UK... coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/

Namechange8787 · 13/02/2022 20:55

@DrSbaitso I know plenty of fully vaccinated people who haven't and are really trying. We don't know if the results are the same for everyone until clinical data is collected, which is isn't yet being.

Namechange8787 · 13/02/2022 20:56

unless you're one of the few rats they injected with 2 doses before giving it to humans.

Darbs76 · 13/02/2022 20:59

Yes sorry to say it’s most likely the covid vaccine as it can mess with your periods temporarily

Namechange8787 · 13/02/2022 22:28

Love that mumsnet are deleting completely true posts. Theres no rule breaking in what im about to say. Its all very true. Pfizer have not tested the vaccines effects on human fertility. So we therefore have no way of knowing exactly what it is doing to our reproductive systems and we have no legal recourse if in say 10 years we realise its affected our fertility. I've posted the above link where you can download the insert of the adult purple cap pfizer vaccine and read for yourself that it has only been tested on female rats for fertility and pregnancy issues and hasn't been tested at all for lactation safety, not even on rats.

No doubt this will all be deleted because God forbid we should be allowed to do our own research and point out facts that go against what mainstream media is telling you. There is no clinical, peer reviewed evidence from Pfizer trials that tells us the vaccine is safe for human fertility.

Interesting, can you tell us which other vaccines hid in our bodies for ten years before popping out and making us unfertile?
Namechange8787 · 13/02/2022 22:39

If you read the insert of any vaccine and scroll down sections on pregnancy trials, you'll find the data they've collected. You can access these from the FDA website.

I got pregnant after being fully vaccinated

Namechange8787 · 13/02/2022 22:45

I'm not anti all vaccines. I'd just rather wait until the manufacturers complete some clinical trials that give us data surrounding fertility in humans. I think that's pretty reasonable. Especially since the covid vaccine (anecdotally, as evidenced in this thread) seems to be having an effect on some women's menstrual cycles, which is governed by their reproductive systems.

yummymummy1230 · 13/02/2022 22:53

@Namechange8787 I Do completely agree with u. It hasn't been fully tested on humans. An u have every right to feel the way u do. It's not nice when people are judging the people that decide against the vaccine. Like I said I wouldn't of gone it done if it wasn't for my job am travelling abroad.
