To have had enough of hangovers

It was my birthday celebrations last night and I went out with friends. I had copious amounts of wine and have woken up this morning feeling awful. Pounding head, anxiety, groggy, tired. Why don’t I ever learn? The older I’m getting, the more I think I’ve just had enough of it. I don’t drink that much usually but I just over indulge on these nights and then feel awful the next day. Anyone else feel this way?

It also helps to drink very slowly. Extend one drink for an hour or more and you won't need that much at a party!

Yes, I felt like this so I went teetotal. Funnily enough, I’ve not had a hangover since 🤐

Nobody needs to drink alcohol, it’s not a requirement or a necessity - just don’t drink it. There are plenty of other drinks to choose from

Charcoal tablets work for me

Going against the grain, I guess another way of looking at it is that life’s too short not to let your hair down every now and again! It’s not the end of the world to have a day when you’re functioning a bit below bar. You will be absolutely fine tomorrow and likely have no regrets about getting a bit tipsy once the hang-ziety has worn off. Hope you enjoyed your birthday celebrations 😀

I get awful hangovers these days where I can feel crap for 48 hours plus after a big session. It's just not worth it, I can't stand how all my plans go out the window because I feel too rubbish. I hate the depressed malaise I fall into and the anxiety. I ended up taking up rowing which requires early starts in the morning and therefore a degree of control is required. I love a few glasses of wine with friends but I can just about stop now despite wanting that refill.
