I can hardly think of one! I got gifted a towel hair turban once which I thought was stupid but I use it every time now.

@GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough

My ice maker. I love it it's always on and used daily!
Tell me more please?

We recently upgraded to an American style FF, but it's opposite side of the room from the plumbing, so we couldn't have ice Sad

Set of weights during lockdown and accompanying workout app. Cancelled my gym membership & haven’t looked back.

Smallkeys · 12/02/2022 22:18

@devildeepbluesea. Oh do you have a link I dream of morning coffee in bed without getting up

housemaus · 12/02/2022 22:20

@Ironingtsunami

Massage gun. Thought it would be a fad, I use it most days. Has virtually eliminated the tension headaches I've lived with for as long as I can remember, and I'm sleeping so much better.
I was coming here to say the same. Bought on a slightly guilty whim, thinking I'd end up having to argue with them to return it when it was inevitably rubbish - but a decade of upper back pain has just... stopped.
lifesnotaspectatorsport · 12/02/2022 22:21

Rhinoplasty to fix my enormous bulbous nose that I'd hated all my life. £5k and worth every penny.

Smallkeys · 12/02/2022 22:24

What make were the massage gun also interest in that

PaddleBoardingMomma · 12/02/2022 22:24

Lumea, best £500 I've ever spent.

£120 a month membership for David Lloyd, still makes me wince when I see the DD go out but it's totally changed how I feel about myself and my relationship with exercise

housemaus · 12/02/2022 22:25

Doc Martens - I'm heavy footed and can go through cheap shoes for fun, so these have saved me a fortune

Tile trackers (not 'expensive' per se, but I bought quite a few!) - have saved my laptop a number of times

Philips Lumea - probably over 1k saved in waxing so far, and still going

Dyson Airwrap - Blush a recent purchase and I still feel embarrassed now about spending that much on a hair thing, but it is SO good

devildeepbluesea · 12/02/2022 22:32

@Smallkeys here it is. It’s gone up in price since I bought it. Still a bargain!!

Although I’m an instant coffee pleb. But I’m sure those posh ground coffee bags would work perfectly!

Smallkeys · 12/02/2022 22:33

@devildeepbluesea thank you I’m an instant too just cos I’m too lazy to faff about and I drink way too much coffee - thank you x

My 20 Yr old GHD's are still going.

My Kudd.ly - (massive jumper) I've had the heating on twice this winter.

My super duper bathroom - cost 12k and I love it

Everley · 12/02/2022 23:31

Phillips Lumea - saved a small fortune in razor blades and also time spent removing hair.

A heated hairbrush contraption. Gives me smoother more manageable hair in 10 minutes. Absolute game changer for me.

iPad.

Please tell me more about this. Where from? Where are you massaging? I have been suffering dreadfully.
Paranoidandroidmarvin · 13/02/2022 22:52

Boringly my audible subscription. Over £100. My husband suggested that I get it. Never read anything really for years. But I did. Man did it change everything. I listened and read over 140 books last year. And I loved every single minute.

I know have audible playing in the background or in my earbuds most of the day. And I always have a book on the go. Can count on my one hand how many hours of tv I have watched since then.

Now I belong to online libraries and I have to top up my audible subscription a lot during the year. But I don’t begrudge a penny of it.

violetbunny · 14/02/2022 01:56

My boy cat - he's cost me a fortune in vet bills but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Dyson hairdryer

Superking bed

Do you mind linking the gun? Thanks.

Cargo Ebike. Used every day.

Scarydinosaurs · 16/02/2022 05:33

Aftershokz headphones - makes running so much safer!

AirPods - I do a lot of listening to audio for work but I’ve ended up using them all the time and love them. They switch between computer and phone so easily.

Beachbody app and weights - best thing I ever did. Bye expensive gym/ PAYGO exercise classes!

Keratin smoothing - best thing for my hair and saves me loads of time as it dries much faster.

FawnFrenchieMum · 16/02/2022 05:41

My Apple Watch, I love it. Makes me have my phone in my hands far less as I can see instantly if say school are ringing instead of constantly checking my phone plus loads of other bits I use it for.

Monty27 · 16/02/2022 05:50

My art deco mirror to myself for my birthday 🙂

Treacleandmustard · 16/02/2022 05:57

I love my hair drying wraps. I don't have time to wear them enough to properly dry my hair. I still use the hairdryer. I got them to save my towels, they would get soaked because of my long hair are they hard to get dry again. The hair wraps are micro fibre my hair soaks it but it is so easy to air dry. I have really cut down on the number of towels I have to wash.

Also a memory foam hip support cushion. I sleep with it between my legs and it really helps my bad leg at night.

bushtailadventures · 16/02/2022 05:59

My jileon wellies, I have ridiculously large calves and wide feet, but these have meant I could go puddle jumping with my dgd when we were in lockdown and that's been priceless.

Sewing machine (not expensive, fabric stash is) I've had fun learning to use it, and have made some nice things

Grumpsy · 16/02/2022 06:01

My portable aircon unit. I know we’re in the UK - but for the 2-3 weeks per year where is unbearably hot I get a great nights sleep
