To like dressing up

Reading the Valentines thread, I was wondering why so many women seem to be set against wearing nice lingerie?

A lot of women commenting that it would be their idea of hell.

I actually like having nice lingerie to wear and would be chuffed if I got some as a present.

A lot of women suggesting they don’t like the idea of dressing to please someone else etc but provided you’re in a balanced relationship were your partner does things for you, then why would you not do that in return for them?

Or even for yourself to feel good? Sometimes wearing nice underwear just makes me feel better about myself

I'm too fat to look good in anything and my confidence is at my lowest in underwear so there is that !

We have sex most days so I couldn't be bothered with doing the whole dressing up thing every single night. Now and again I do, but usually it's just straight to being naked. We've got 4 kids and life can be tiring so I don't really have the time or the inclination to be doing this most of the time.

And I wouldn't like to be bought lingerie as I know best what I feel confident in. Lingerie bought as a gift isn't really a gift for the woman, it's a gift for the partner

I’m more curious that you feel your self-esteem is intrinsically linked to wearing silky, crevice cleaners. Why does that make you feel better about yourself? That question is not trying to be goady in anyway though, I’m just really interested you feel that way.

I love wearing lingerie and I love what it does to my husband.

Nothing wrong with people feeling differently.
