To ask what I can do for a job whilst travelling around the world in a campervan with a dog?

I'm half joking.
Thinking of my later years and a friends sister does just this, sold her home, travels extensively, only needs a laptop and WiFi connection. But she's an accountant and I'm terrible at maths.
Are there other jobs which could be done like this? Thinking of any courses I could take to prepare for this life. End goal would be to sell house (mortgage free) and get kids on the housing ladder. Obviously if I need care then it would be factored in with money set aside.

Freelance translator. I’ve worked like this a bit myself over the years

Teach English as a foreign language, copywriter, content creation, maybe learn about digital marketing

A lot of these suggestions require 1) good reliable internet, and 2) some prior work experience / qualifications, or 3) spending a few months in each place (eg work in a shop) and an address, or 4) no issues with getting a work permit if abroad. Things like teaching English and translating are very badly paid and insecure. Why would anyone offer you copywriting work if you have no prior experience? Writing jobs are very badly paid and very competitive.
I'd identify somewhere that is 1) nice, 2) cheap to live, 3) no work permit issues (at least not for TEFL work), and then stay there for 3 years before thinking of moving on. And rent someone cheap to live, while renting out your house in the UK. Sorry, but don't take the dog - re-home.

Ooh good question! I’ve just bought a camper van as my new job is a project manager and apparently I can work wherever I like as long as there is internet connection. The only caveat my boss has put on this is ‘not the moon’.

Online marketing. I did the digital nomad thing while running paid ads on FB for a while (as in ads for small businesses), travelled to several European countries & Florida while working the hours I chose. It wasn't actually as fun as I thought it was gonna be, but glad I tried it.

My advice to you would be to trial van life out before you decide you want to go all in on it, hire a dog friendly camper and travel around the UK for a week or so at a time, so you know what to expect. The UK is not as well set up as European countries in general for van life but it would give you a taste of what it would be like.

Bar work? I'd say they're used to students and travellers just doing a few months here and there.
