Has anyone had tubal ligation and got pregnant?

11 weeks ago I gave birth and had tubal ligation at the same time (planned c section and my tubes were tied)

I've not been feeling right (negative covid test) realised I hadn't had a period either so I grabbed some tests (first response brand) all 4 of them are positive.
Rang GP who got me in this morning, their test was also positive.

They've referred me to gynaecology for an early pregnancy termination and told me I should consider the coil.

I'm freaking out big time, the stress is indescribable.
I don't know how I've been so unlucky

No, absolutely, I'm not saying it's cheap and I really hope that this latest situation forces the GP to listen to your DP's needs and get it for free. But if not, I hope you can find a way to sort it over time to save you this pain.

I’m a bit worried that the medical people don’t seem to be taking the increased risk of an ectopic into account. Can you attend your local Early Pregnancy Unit for a scan? Ours have a day when they let you just walk in without an appointment (you do have to wait but it’s worth it). Then you’d be able to explain the exact circumstances so they know what to look for.

I had a scan this morning which shows I've had an early miscarriage, I've started to bleed about an hour after the scan as well

I've got an appointment booked for next month as well to double check if my tubes are still tied. Feeling very numb x

Look after yourself. Sounds like you've had a pretty touch rollcoaster of emotions with this.
