To buy new knickers annually?

I used to be able to hang on to knickers for years but since having children my preference for massive pants seems to mean that they go a bit baggy and shapeless in less than a year. Is it unreasonable to buy pants yearly or even more frequently? What’s normal here?!

Yearly you must be joking surely !! I buy new nicks every couple of months usually 4/5 pairs at a time and throw out the oldest in my drawer when I do a purchase of new ones.I have comfy ones for daily wear/holiday ones and big ones in case I have to go into hospital at any time

Why do you specifically need big knickers for hospital? If you break you arm what relevance does bigger knickers have?

You can fashion your own sling without taking resources from an already overburdened NHS!

20 year old pants?!! Jeezus.

I must have a toxic acid fanjo as I also seem to get holes in the gusset bit (and it bleaches the black ones!)

I buy pants when I need them. Should I be asking other people when I should, instead?

Yeah buy as and when you need them. I generally get 2-3 years out of my M&S granny specials. The elastic is coming away and the gussets are perishing, so i think it's time to buy new ones

My dog hunts discarded ladies pants down and chews out the gusset. If she gets a pair they're gonners for sure.
Between me and the DD's we get through a lot.
