With the gas price rises, what are the best (cheap) fleece suits to wear inside??

On benefits due to poor health. There is no way I can afford these rises that are about to happen. Struggling as it is.

I have a small, small buffer of savings which I have figured is better to use on some very warm clothing for me and 2 others in the household. that could last us a couple of years, whereas with the new gas prices wouldn't stretch even nearly that. We are all quite small in size.

Everything I can find is designed for outdoors or just too thin.

Any recommendations?? Stuff that will actually keep us warm, wash ok, and last..

Second wearing a dressing gown over clothes if you want to be moving around.
Also eccentric blanket is cheaper and lasts longer than kettle/hot water bottle.

I have lovely fleecy pyjamas (trousers and a jumper) which I believe are from Primark, very warm and make you sweat! I would also invest in a fluffy dressing gown-throw it on over your clothes and you will remain toasty. I think mine was from Tesco or Primark again.

Vinted is good for cheap, decent quality layers.

Get a fleecy throw for the sofa and then double it up on the bed at bedtime.

Loads of hot water bottles

I'm sorry you're having to plan like this, OP. It utterly sucks.

Had really heavy curtains and closed them as soon as it started to get dark

Another good tip. My Mum did this when we were kids. Thick velvet ones are absolutely the business at keeping drafts away.

Keep your head covered, it makes a huge difference.
I got DS a cheap ‘Oodie’ on Amazon for about 20 quid which is boiling to wear.
I’ve heard good things about Uniqlo Heatech stuff.

I have a throw rug type thing that has sleeves you can stick on when sitting on the couch that's nice and toasty. I also have a blanket you can plug in, and it honestly costs pennies to use, so much preferable to the heating which is now a fortune!
