Hi everyone I'm asking for some advice on how to deal with a situation, my nephew who is 7 has a Tiktok account. I am shocked as to why he would be allowed on Titkok at his age.

Should I have a word with my sister and tell her my concerns about what he could be exposed to?

Of course you can. She probably won't listen. I can't imagine my 6 nearly 7 years old would have a clue with tiktok!!

Yes, I'd try at least. Also, if you know his profile I'd report it for bring underage.

BlackMagicWimpund · 05/02/2022 22:27

God yes, have a word with your sister. She must be living on another fucking planet!

I have an 8 and a 6 year old and loads of their friends are in TikTok. Apparently their friends think I’m strict for not letting them on it.

AlDanvers · 05/02/2022 22:31

Yes, I would have a word.

Nothing you can do if she ignore you though.

Gosh I'm a teacher and would be shocked if any of the children I teach were on it. There are a lot of problems with it in Y5 and 6 that lead to a few exclusions before Christmas, it's notorious for bullies.

I was reading on another group of a woman whose 8 year old has Tiktok and posted a naked video of her on there 🤦🏻 Seriously don’t get why people let their children on there

IWasHotInTheNineties · 05/02/2022 22:49

There was a warning at my children’s school as there were graphic suicides shown on tiktok.

So, the 7 year old has a phone as well?
