To ask about the night shift

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with working night shifts particularly 4 on 4 off shifts and bonus points if it's office work.

I know everyone's experience is different but I thought I'd ask as it's something I'm interested in doing but I have a one year old but I do have an idea about that and how to work around it so that's not a major issue.

Thanks (I'm asking here for traffic)

I did night sifts as a care worker for a few years, switching from nights to days is harder on the body than becoming just a night person. But then real life suffers as many things can only be done in the daytime. There’s loads of studies showing how bad it’s for health. Bit I had to do nights as some day staff sexually harassed and bullied me. It really messed up my health, physical and mental but I was on the same pay as day staff and it was literally minimum wage (even cleaners get paid more than care workers) so that didn’t help. If the money is really good it could be worth it. I recommend mouldable silicone earplugs for day sleeping or ASMR videos with tiny soft earplugs for sleeping.
