When to speak to the GP about changes with period

Hi
I have suffered really heavy painful periods for 30 plus years. My last period was 2 weeks late and now I'm on day 13 of my next period just a few weeks later. This is the lightest period I've ever had. Not had to take any painkillers or tranexamic acid. Aibu to contact the gp to see if everything is okay or should I wait and see what happens next time? I don't want to waste time but at the same time I thought it might be worth getting checked. Thanks

How old are you?

Is it peri-menopause?

I'm 45. Feels weird querying light period but it's so different to normal.

Have you had the vaccine recently? My periods are all over the place after mine.

Good point about vaccines. I had the booster mid December. But jabs one and two gave me heavier periods so I was expecting that.

Hi OP, just watching with interest as I'm 53 and I regularly skip a month, been heavier than usual the last year when it does happen but this month actually much lighter.
Stopped with any 'symptons' a while ago as well.
No other menopause symptoms at all
