To order a takeaway and if so what should I stuff in my face??

For the first time in WEEKS I have the house to myself.

XP has taken DS out for park/dinner (so I don't have to feed him at all)

My Dad is out for the next 4 hours.

I've eaten nothing but a slice of toast all day for context.

And yeah there is food in the fridge/cupboards but I cook ALL THE TIME.

I have vodka/wine.

I should be doing housework, but OMG I want to watch Aliens for the hundredth time and eat something someone else has cooked for a fucking change.

We very rarely get takeaway and when we do it's always what the others want so inevitably it's either pizza or fish and chips, so I'm thinking one of the fancy independent burger or fried chicken places?

I am DEFINITELY not being UR to just change back into PJs now everyone has fucked off and at least take 2 hours to myself right??

I've got so much stressful shit going on and I could be doing sensible stuff but.........

Make me feel not guilty about this please??

This is the least unreasonable AIBU ever. It would be a crime if you didn't get a takeaway in these circumstances.

I worked a really late shift last night. Didn’t get chance to sleep it off today like I usually would as Exh had to bring the kids back me earlier than normal.
Cooking is not on the agenda tonight.
I live in the arse end of nowhere and no Chinese places deliver
So I’ve settled on my usual pizza place. DCs couldn’t decide between burgers or pizza…so I’ve ordered both I’m already looking forward to my leftover pizza breakfast tomorrow after I’ve dropped them at school

From one internet stranger to another - dont feel guilty for doing something(s) nice for yourself. It genuinely makes my heart happy to think of you getting back in your PJs and ordering a lovely takeaway.

There is so much misery and stress in the world, we should all take whatever moments we can to be kind to ourselves:)

Ooh I’d ever get a dominos (because DH doesn’t like it so we rarely have it) or Chinese. Which would consist of salt and chilli broccoli, lemon chicken, salt and chilli chips, wan tons, seaweed and maybe some king prawn balls. Then I’d fall asleep absolutely stuffed and sleepy from some large vodkas, then wake up and polish off whatever I didn’t eat first time round.

Not that I’ve given any thought to what is do with an evening to myself. Oh no. It’s been a blessing that we’ve had lockdown and DH now works from home and I’ve not been alone in two years. A blessing

I have ordered from a fancy independent burger place that also does sticky hot BBQ chicken wings....My order is thus and I am soo excited!......

Massive cheeseburger stack with pickles, onions, salad and special BBQ sauce
Cajun fries
Sticky hot BBQ chicken wings

For person who mentioned desert....I shall be pouring espresso over v expensive vanilla ice cream with dark choc shavings and then raiding the last of the Black Magic chocs I got for Xmas
And I am determined to feel ZERO FUCKS about this!

This is my fucking treat and I'm really looking forward to it!

I will post a photo in about half an hour when the food arrives!

Chicken kebab (chunks of chicken though, not that stuff that sliced off) with garlic mayo and heaps of salad. Chips or (and) onion rings. Had it last night.

Our independent 'posh' burger place has just started using uber eats. It was collection only before, I think they'll be seeing more of our custom from now on. They do amazing burgers, Pizzas and kebabs (especially their chicken kebabs, cooked on skewers and chargrilled 😋)

However if I was in your shoes I would definitely get a Chinese, but now after all this talking of food I want to order grilled minted lamb ribs, corn bread, mac & cheese with greens from this amazing place that's only open 3 times a week from 6-12 and sells out within those hours.
