You can hire a nanny to start and to finish...?

More specifically- Nannies would you consider a 7am till 7pm role 2 to 3 days a week? Only needed for 3 kids. One preschool, others in school.

What pay would you expect?

Or would you consider even earlier start / later finish? Kids in bed those times but sometimes I work early / late

Those hours per day are quite standard for a live in but fine if only 3 days a week.

I’d kill for a three day a week job now because that would leave two days to be with my baby!

There’s not a set rule with hours you know. It depends on if a nanny would want to work them. A lot depends on your area. I’m on £17ph. Always talk in gross with pay, not net.

What about a live out nanny? Ideally dont want someone living in house unless they only stay their work days Grin

Only needed for 3 kids.
Does this mean that you have more kids but they don't need minding? Confused

I'd contact a few agencies for an idea of working hours and pay within your area.

Lots of nannies would like 3 long days. We pay £17ph gross.

Yeah what I meant was- a live IN nanny would be ok with working 6-7 because obviously there’s no commute. A live out it’s slightly different as that would be a LOT five days but you only want 2/3 so is more appealing.

When you say ‘only’ three kids… that’s still 3 kids!

Avocadoandlemons · 25/01/2022 23:09

Yes but 2 would be at school 8 till 5!

Ours does 7.30-7. As others have said I think some nannies tend to quite like fewer long days than 5x short ones as it is harder to pick up other work that way.
