I don't even live in the UK but this constant rolling out of MP's to say "There wasn't a party" or "Just because there was cake, and we sung Happy Birthday to the PM doesn't mean that it was an organised party" or whatever the latest awful awful behaviour that has happened in Downing Street (be that in the garden or by one of their former advisors who travelled to Barnard Castle to test his eyesight during the pandemic) is just so infuriating??? I mean Grant Schapps was on BBC Breakfast stating that because there was cake and the interior designer for the Number 10 flat was also there and they sang Happy Birthday, it didn't constitute a party for the PM as it wasn't 'organised'?????? I mean WT actual F????

There is an awful lot of expectation being left at the door of Sue Grey too. I honestly wouldn't want to be her right now. She could possibly bring down the UK government but then again she could possibly leave Boris Johnson in power too with whatever she ends up writing. I honestly would not want to be her.

How are the electorate not being more vocal and demanding his resignation for breaking the very rules he himself said down the camera lens to the rest of the population and the world??

@TheHoptimist

You dont live in the UK. They are not your elected government

Cant see why it bothers you any way or has any impact on your life?

What about your own politicians?

Actually, I live in Ireland and by Boris "getting Brexit done" has had an impact on my life and the lives of everyone, north and south of the border. This is not about Brexit though, this is about how he has repeatedly lied to the electorate. He even lied about Brexit being the bees knees but it isn't. It's a shit show. But this thread is about how he lied about the parties when so many weren't allowed to bury their relatives at a normal funeral or visit their relatives in care homes or in hospitals while he was attending shindigs happening in and around Number 10.

My own politicians are no great shakes either. There was a party held by civil servants in the Dept of Foreign Affairs when Ireland won a seat on the UN and there was "Golfgate", and as far as I'm aware they are the only two events that have come to light that happened during the pandemic here.

OP people have marched about this and mandates etc in London and other cities on a regular basis. MSM, if they even bother to report it, claim there was a few hundred when in reality it is thousands and thousands. Other small protests like insulate Britain got pages/hours of reports. MSM will only report what the government want the people to know. It is the same now, they want us to know about these parties now - we should be asking why now?
