To ask OH to quit his job?

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I'm really struggling now especially with the school runs and I am late everyday taking them. I'm not sleeping and have a very low iron I'm having x2 transfusions a week. I really can't do another 9 weeks of this I feel dreadful.

OH runs an eBay store and has done for 2 years now and it's worked for us a family as he is able to do all the school runs in between. We've been able to clear debts and start saving again at around 4.5k now not much but a start.

Anyway January is always slow so instead of just waiting to get through to busier months he's gone and got a little part time job for an agency 8-2 £13 an hour I'm having to drop him off at work come back at 8:15 get the kids dressed and back out the door for 8:40.

I am on maternity pay and he is still earning from his eBay store just not the usual amount. It's enough for us to pay all bills and we could get topped up from UC we haven't had any UC in a while because we have earned way over the threshold.

AIBU or do I just need to suck it up? I get very faint and feel like I could collapse. The thought of anything happening when the kids are with me worries me.

OH has paid off 14K of debt and managed to put 4.5k away. We wasn't able to do this before when he was in full time employment we was struggling and on our arse it didn't work for us.

My whole point of this post was that he doesn't really need to be working now we can manage with his earnings and my maternity. He still has to update his earnings on to UC this month so if we don't meet the threshold by 2nd of feb we would probably be entitled to something.

OH is used to earning certain amount a month and he likes to save and put money away. He has chose him self to go make some extra cash with the temp job for four weeks even though he doesn't really need too. Hence the AIBU to ask him to quit the job at a time when I need more support.

I don't think he should quit the job, he needs to sort out what he's going to do to help.

I don't think he needs to quit you just need to juggle your morning routine around.

How far away does he work? Can he not walk/bus/bike it?

No one should be pressured to quit because their partner has decided they don't need to be working. It is very unreasonable to ask him to quit. If you can't drive him any longer it would be reasonable for you to say so, give him so notice and ask him to find alternate transport from a certain date. If you need more help when he's at home discuss that. Don't ask him to quit, don't tell him he has a 'little' job like in your OP.

Anyway January is always slow so instead of just waiting to get through to busier months he's gone and got a little part time job for an agency. Calling it a little job is really judgemental. He's earning to help support his family.
