Is this not pretty rude?

School group chat: trying to organise a meet up for lunch. One mother points out that she has dietary requirements so we plan a place around what suits her, food-wise. She then just doesn’t show up for lunch! Can’t help but feel that’s quite rude and we could have eaten elsewhere/she could have at least said she wasn’t attending!

It's not an issue at all to make arrangements around one person's food preferences.

It's also not an issue if you arrange things around someone's food preferences and then they can't come.

What's rude is that she just didn't bother to show up without letting anyone know.
