To ask where you get CBD oil...?

Sorry for posting in AIBU but here for the traffic.

Family member has cancer. Due to start radiotherapy but due to their age and general health this may not even happen. She's living in constant pain and nausea and I just want to try anything to help. She's up for giving anything a go, currently at the point where she would be quite happy to give up.

I just want to make her more comfortable and less nauseous (and relaxed if that's a side effect Hmm).

Looking online is frying my brain - I can't tell what's legitimate and what isn't. Friends aren't forthcoming with where they would get it. Shockingly I know I could get THC tomorrow if I wanted, but can't settle on CBD oil that MIGHT actually work.

If anyone has ANY IDEAS thank you.

Agree with pp who said try to get hold of some actual weed, I 100% would in that situation, and I've cared for a loved one with cancer.
I worry that if she's high she might have a fall and that'll be my fault. I don't think I'm opposed to when it comes to end of life care but at the moment we aren't there.

Unless you grow your own you are totally at the mercy of criminals - goodness knows what they could adulterate whatever you buy with. Ketamine, ground glass ....

It’s also legal in many countries remember

I also get the horrors around the cocaine industry and it’s totally grim
But weeds natural

I just warned against buying weed on the streets in the UK. It's illegal and will more likely than not have been adulterated for profit.

I am more than acquainted with cannabis around the world, and in Portugal, Spain and many US states there would be no need to warn.

But this is a UK site, and I would be assuming the OP is a UK resident. So just popping to their local dispensary isn't an option.

Most cannabis in the UK is grown quite openly in massive fields in Norfolk by British Sugar. But that's another story.

Well there are dispensaries in the UK tbf, subsidised and I believe it's been treated in some way so it's intended for vaping. You have to apply, go through a screening etc but the services do exist

Why would someone mix ketamine with weed
Ketamine is more expensive !
And ground glass ?? Weeds a plant and it would be clearly visible

Oh and pay at almost every stage, but the prices on the cannabis itself are below street price and I believe there are subsidy programs for some patients also

There was a period in between £20 1/8ths and when weed settled to 10/g where much heavily adulterated weed was on the UK market. It was treated with sugar crystals (brix, a commercial product to increase bag appeal) and sand/silica (increase bag weight) it combinations of the two.

The weed didn't burn properly and you would get little crackles when you closed your teeth. It was widely rejected by buyers and eventually the market settled to higher quality and higher prices

I can't remember what years this was but I'm thinking 2005 or there abouts

Weed is definitely fuckable with. Synthetic cannabinoids are cheap as chips and can be added to poor quality weed to make it more saleable.

Agree no ones putting ketamine in it, or if any samples have ever tested positive for it is cos some clumsy crusty spilt his ketamine on his stash Grin

There are lots of products on the market, they aren't all good.

Legally she can be prescribed cannabis but it would be a struggle, I tend to buy flowers from tonic vault so I can't help with finding a tincture but I use tonic vault currently

I’ve been using Love CBD, a balm you rub on. I’ve found that calming at bedtime. Having problems getting to sleep. Have just purchased the Orange County gummies. Thank you for the tip

I didn't say weed.

It's the THC and actually there are lots and lots of cases where it has. If god forbid I ever get cancer I will definitely be trying it.

If you want medical cannabis, you probably wouldn't start in the UK. Although if you were to be prescribed it elsewhere in the world, it very likely was grown in the UK.

I use Mediweed, they are based in Bournemouth. Definitely helps my pain.
