Tevion28 · 20/01/2022 16:21

No no pls not spider eggs

OP posts:
Flocon · 20/01/2022 16:23

They do look like eggs.

Somethingsnappy · 20/01/2022 16:23

I'm definitely no expert, but usually spiders stay with their sack of eggs, don't they? I've certainly never seen them separately.

Justkeeppedaling · 20/01/2022 16:23

Do you keep a window open? Seeds or stuff that's blown in from outside?

Justkeeppedaling · 20/01/2022 16:24

They aren't eggs.

Tevion28 · 20/01/2022 16:24

No window left open

Spider eggs are like a tiny ball of fluffy cotton wool and the spider stays with it. That’s not spider eggs. Not sure what it is though.

OfstedOffred · 20/01/2022 16:29

Larvae of something? Either way it's probably some sort of pest outbreak. Can you bug spray? Try a flea spray or something?

BFPDec21 · 20/01/2022 16:32

Looks like some kind of larvae?

Flocon · 20/01/2022 16:34

What happens if you poke one with a long stick

m030978 · 20/01/2022 16:34

possibly woolly bears, carpet beetle larvae.
small, slightly wiggly, hairy things.

prettycolours · 20/01/2022 16:35

They are carpet beetle larvae, had them in my old house.

TragoCardboardCopper · 20/01/2022 16:36

It's a bit blurry, but is it case bearing clothes moth larvae?

They chew up fabric and then make a chrysalis type thing out of it, then the moth hatches out.

Flocon · 20/01/2022 16:38

@prettycolours

They are carpet beetle larvae, had them in my old house.
Why are they on the ceiling and not the floor? I hate carpet moths. They destroy everything. Have you noticed any holes in your clothes OP?
steppemum · 20/01/2022 16:41

I think they are newly hatched moths.

Which means somewhere in your house there is a jumper/carpet/rug full of holes.

Spray with fly spray and then hoover everywhere, move as much furniture as you reasonably can.
Empty you jumper drawer, shake and spray etc.

steppemum · 20/01/2022 16:42

newly hatched moths don't fly they crawl around for a bit, and then start flying.

thesparkthatbled · 20/01/2022 16:43

Definitely moths, we had these in our old house.

thesparkthatbled · 20/01/2022 16:43

I never did get rid of them, but nothing ever turned up with holes in

Tevion28 · 20/01/2022 16:48

I haven't noticed any holes in anything
