to ask if a 19 year age gap is too much…

… and will the world be scandalised when 25 year old Tom Holland decides a grumpy suburban mum has tempted him away from his stunning girlfriend?

Will my children find it too much? Or will they be pleased I’m starting anew as Mrs Spider-Man?

Is this the menopause? It’s ludicrous - he’s literally young enough to be my child.

Maybe I need help? Blush

😂 😂
Your children will love having Spider-Man as a dad…

Oneborneverydecade · 17/01/2022 19:33

I'm the same age as you OP and am currently obsessed with Harry Styles, so maybe it is an age thing?!
I can't decide with Harry whether it's lust or maternal/pride - he's just so bloody lovely.
I also like Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya and Tom together

Shmippy · 17/01/2022 19:33

I can never remember what Tom Holland looks like, I just picture Jamie Bell.

I think your children would be equally thrilled if you hooked up with Tom Hollander instead. Having Rev as a stepdad would be just as thrilling to a kid as Spiderman. Definitely.

stingofthebutterfly · 17/01/2022 19:45

He doesn't do it for me, personally, but it's entirely allowed, so enjoy him!

itssarcasmjoan · 17/01/2022 19:46

Well it work for my in laws.
I still just want to adopt Tom the little scamp.

Patapouf · 17/01/2022 22:40

You do need help I'm afraid OP, he looks barely pubescent.

OfstedOffred · 17/01/2022 22:44

I would definitely take jason momoa over over Tom Holland. And I dont even like the muscles that much.

No brainer. Can tom Holland even grow stubble yet?

Concestor · 23/01/2022 19:07

Well there's 13 years between me and Zac Efron so I'm all for an age gap Grin

In real life I think it would be a bit much but in my dreams I'm still 25 anyway, at least physically, so...

Beamur · 23/01/2022 19:19

Is the lip synch thing the one where he sings 'umbrella'? OMG. I thought he was very meh until I saw that. He's an amazing dancer!
Timothee Chalomet is ridiculously cute.
I am old enough to be their mother but can still appreciate a handsome man 😁

Rivermonsters · 24/01/2022 10:01

if you think that’s bad there’s a 51 year age gap between me and Tony Blair Sad, we’re married he just doesn’t know Grin

Simonjt · 24/01/2022 10:10

This makes me feel less bad for being in love with Troye Sivan, I’m going to marry him, after all who doesn’t love a bit of bigamy.

I’m not into Tom, but the umbrella video is very watchable.

Why is everything on mumsnet “grim”? I never hear this word IRL but it’s used here on almost every thread

I’ve always thought of grim as meaning very serious and gloomy (of a person) or bleak, dreary, forbidding (of a place) but it seems it’s now urban slag for gross or disgusting.

CounsellorTroi · 24/01/2022 10:21

Ffs, slang not slag!
