After they have taken their dc swimming
1 must have a bath to wash chlorine off
Or
2 they have been swimming so don't need a bath.

(Obvs extreme eczema etc notwithstanding)

Aibu?

I’d usually say they shower when home but dc had swimming with school then maths club after school, came home and changed before going to gymnastics, then home for dinner and bed. We couldn’t fit in showers too as that would be another 30 minutes plus drying long hair so they showered the next day. Wouldn’t say it was ideal but in theory the chlorine means they are clean… we always shower after using our hot tub so that’s much more my usual position. I think things are rarely black and white with children.

We make DD have a shower after swimming but it still doesn't get the smell of chlorine away.

Not allowed to shower in the baths anymore. Straight out after getting changed cos of cv.
Swimming is on Sunday and Sunday is traditionally Bath night.

  1. Shower at the pool

My children don't bath everynight as it isnt necessary and I kind of worry for the skin of those that do.

My children get showered after swimming. I don't think you think parents like me exsist.

Our local pool is a saltwater pool. We do shower afterwards to rinse the salt off, but even I don’t shower again when I get home - spray in a bit of coconut oil, and my hair looks lovely afterwards.

Is that option A or B?

Shower with soap and shampoo, then get in pyjamas at the pool.

@sadpapercourtesan

I think OP was trying to make a light-hearted point that you can tell something about a parent by whether they say "ooh, better have a nice bath to wash all that chlorine off" or "sod the bath tonight, you've been swimming"

Certainly applied when I was young. The twins next door had a mum in the first camp, mine firmly in the second. Maybe people these days are too po-faced hygiene conscious to appreciate the joke?

Yes this.
