What age do you drop off your child to a party?

My DC6 has been invited to a party.

I'm a bit recluant to go as I've fallen out with another mum in the same class as DC and just want to avoid her at all costs as I have severe anxiety. (She talked about me behind my back, slagged off other parents and their children to me and now is their "bestie" all pathetic drama bs I can't be bothered with.)

Would I be okay to drop him off to the party and collect him later? Or should I ask the parent of the party child first? I'm not sure what the correct thing is. 😂

I was going to say 6. Some parents do still stay at age 6 though.

I have never known anyone to stay from 6 up but I'm in France so maybe different here.

Once they start reception class usually unless specifically requested to stay eg swimming party.

It really must be dependent on area. My daughter is in year 3 and only about 50% of parents drop and go but it's gradually improving. My youngest is in reception and it would depend on the venue as some halls have the toilets in a public cafe/ bar and I wouldn't like him venturing out by himself in a public toilet.
