To think it’s about bloody time the Queen acted?

Her golden boy has just clearly not voluntarily been relieved of his military titles and royal patronages and is no longer going to be an HRH.

AIBU to think she waited far too long to take action, and that if PA had succeeded in having VG’s civil suit dismissed she’d have let him get away with it?

I feel sorry for her too.

@GloriousGoosebumps

I wouldn't be so sure that the Queen was the driving force behind this development. I believe Prince Charles and Prince William joined forces to protect the Monarchy and gave the Queen a push in the right direction.
That’s my understanding too. As a pp said, it must be really hard to believe your son has behaved like this. I know I’d struggle.

@TheKeatingFive

I can't bring myself to feel much sympathy for the Queen. He's clearly been indulged and pandered to his whole life and she's done nothing to rein him in. In fact she's shown public support for him at key moments when it really wasn't appropriate.
I very much doubt that the queen feels much sympathy for Andrew and Epstein's victims - and so, like you, I'm not overflowing with sympathy for her. Hmm

She’s not responsible for his actions, and he’s only now been allowed to be taken to court. It seems the appropriate time to act to me.

Poor woman. Who would want to deal with that in private, let alone with the worlds media all over it.
