Why are there no threads on Johnson and Prince Andrew in active conversations?

You're putting posts on close to midnight and then complaining other people aren't talking about a certain topic. I imagine the majority of people are asleep 🤷‍♀️

Always makes me laugh when people come on outraged that there isn't a certain post they can see straight away, yet they haven't started such a thread themselves and they haven't commented on the threads like that that have been running but they can't be bothered to search for. So you're annoyed at everyone else who has done the same as you - not started a thread and not commented on a thread. Bizarre.

Active conversations moves very fast.

I have no interest in reading about Boris or Andrew so I skip those conversations. I look to MN for lighthearted stuff.

Every time Boris does anything there's about 10 threads. Usually one complaining that you can't call him 'Boris' the reason being that he is not your mate.
Most threads about him just seem to be a competition for how many sweary insults can be thrown.

I've been on MN for approx 2 decades and it used to be there'd be interesting, intelligent discussion on all the big news stories, as well as awareness raised for smaller ones.

Now the only ones that take off are ones where people can give bad relationship advice or lay into the OP.

There have been loads and I've been hiding all of them. I fed up with reading about the pair of them.

I think some of them tip over onto dodgy ground TBH or have so many posts that are libellous that the whole thread has to go.

You could start a thread about a nice dress the Duchess of Cambridge was wearing and someone would come along and shoehorn Prince Andrew in somehow.

I’ve seen a few. I just think everyone is fed up with hearing their names to be honest.

Right, so you were wrong, but now it's about the number of comments? There are multiple threads on Andrew and in multiple parts.

Maybe you should go out for a drive to test your eyesight.

If you look at the title it’s thread 3, and the first thread wasn’t started that long ago, so actually it’s 2400 comments.

Conversation over. Seriously, how many times can you argue over which source is more accurate?

TBH I think everyone on here (and everywhere)! is sick of entitled white men doing what they want .I saw the Boris thread and moved on quickly.PA still doesnt seem to want to acknowledge what hes done wrong .VG says she just wants vindication (from what ?) shes done nothing wrong he has! Its these sort of attitudes that grate in 21st c Britain .Boris has apologised now ,so thats great then!

Because not everyone is obsessed with the same things that you are. Johnson attended a part and broke rules. Mumsnet is full of rule breakers throughout the pandemic, I might not have been perfect by exercising more than once and getting back in curfew on exactly the correct hour of the day as parts of the UK moved between tier's. And with prince Andrew there isn't much to discuss

Yes, the Andrew ones are springing up all over. They need shovelling into the Royal Family topic, not everyone is obsessed with it.
