Birthday cards/gifts at work

My manager at work buys a birthday card and small gift for each member of staff when it is their birthday and the team write individual messages.
My birthday was last week and I didn't receive a card, I didn't think much of it at the time I thought maybe she wasn't buying them anymore. Today it was another colleagues birthday and a card came round for us all to sign 😔
AIBU to feel a bit upset about this?

But they wished her a happy birthday..

That's exactly why I think it may not have been deliberate.

It may be that more than one person is involved in acknowledging the birthday; obtaining the card; arranging for it to be signed; handing it over; etc. I wouldn't be surprised if a card is languishing in someone's desk.

In my experience, whether your birthday is usually acknowledged or not often depends on when during the year it is. Mine is at a time when we are winding down from a busy year and I get remembered all the time. A colleague's is at a time when everyone is usually running around like headless chickens just to manage the basics and tends to be forgotten. Same for the person whose birthday is when most people are on their holiday.

It likely isn't malicious. Just luck of the draw.
