To say how lovely it is that there is no one in my house today

For the first time in what feels like weeks and weeks, it's just me. Bliss. Kids at school, husband at work and me here in my little office 'working' and enjoying mumsnet the peace

Bloody hell, I'm jealous.

I haven't had the house to myself in so long, I've started to day dream about booking a remote cottage in the middle of nowhere where I can bugger off to for a few days.

If anyone knows of such a place...

Green with envy! My daughter is back at school, however DH is still working from home. It will be 2 years come March hes been working from home, and I really miss having the house to myself ☹ DH loves working from home, and hes got an office so not getting in my way, but still... Im hoping that he'll go in at least a couple of days per week once the WFH advice ends (if it ever does!).

I used to get this all the time now I never do! Gone from working part time to full time and so I can't remember the last time I was completely alone (apart from in the car on the way to work!). I always take a weekend away for myself each summer so that will be time for me but it isn't at home and I do miss that!

Days at home alone are the best thing ever.
My eldest works shifts and I get so excited if he is out a full day. Love them all but love my own company more I think 😀.

@Anordinarymum Thanks! Despite torrential rain we've had a nice relaxing time. Just about to go for a meal at my favourite restaurant ever. Will pick up DDs tomorrow lunchtime (tomorrow's my actual 50th) and spend the rest of the day relaxing 🙂
