To stay in a tepid bath?

Got a bad back and wfh. Decided my lunch break could be a hot bath. Ran bath. For some reason the water is not hot! But I'm in it now. Do I lie here for 10 mins and try running the water again? Or get out which will make me colder than staying in does... So fed up with this painful back.

Get out and try a hot water bottle? Tepid baths make me really angry and the rage only intensifies while I'm trying to top it up with warm ish water.

SilverontheTree · 07/01/2022 12:28

I hate this, I get the rage if there’s no hot water.
Get out and have a hot water bottle.

Yeah tepid baths are awful! Run a hot shower. Stick warm pjs and socks on and put a hot water bottle on your lower back.

I also have a bad back and recently bought this heat pad. It is a game changer and I'm annoyed I didn't bit it earlier. So much better then microwaving wheat pack that cools down quickly! I put it in the correct place on propped up pillows then lay back on it. Helps so much!!

A bit late for the OP, but I'd have brought the kettle upstairs and added a few loads of boiling water to get it up to a decent temperature.

Thanks. Yes there is a certain type of rage specific to tepid baths. That heat pad looks brilliant, thanks for the recommendation.

Get out. Lying in tepid going cold water will NOT help your back & you'll be cursing if you get a chill too!!!

Hot shower (if possible) dressed in warm clothes!!

Look at heat pads etc.

Hope it's better soon. Are you taking ibruprofen at regular intervals?

A tepid bath is worse than no bath. Hot water bottles are life savers.
