Fuming! Had booked a a taxi to pick me and dh up at 11pm and when we went out 4 women were already plonked in it! I politely said we had booked this, which I confirmed with driver, but honestly brazen b**es wouldn't budge. I explained we had booked it as had to get home for babysitter, who we were paying for by the hour. Still absolutely no caring, just like faces chewing wasps. In my mind's eye I was ripping out the driver's keys and pulling biggest b**h out by her hair, reality I huffed and puffed and dh said not worth the agro. So, driver booked another one, which didn't turn up til 45 mins later and we were outside freezing in our fancy dress costumes while those horrible, selfish smug arseholes buggered off in our taxi!

If it was a mini cab then surely he’s not allowed to take them? It’s only black taxis that can pick up randoms.

Would a call to the council be in order. They issue the licences. He cannot pick up random passengers.

In my town we now have security on taxi ranks to avoid queue jumping and it works very well . I think I would have held the door open ! And fwiw they were bitches !

The taxi driver was bang out of order and should have refused them.

Taxis have to be licences. The best thing to do is to report the incident to them, Usually the local council.

This happened to me at a work thing. Summoned an Uber, it pulled up and the CEO and CFO strode past me and my colleague and jumped in Colleague and I laughed and called another one but it was freezing!

How would that work though as wouldn’t you be charged for their journey? I thought with Ubers you could only book a set journey and it’d charge your card.

This happened to me in France. The woman couldn't speak English but we stood our ground and she left. Miraculously she knew the words Fuck You in English which were her parting words. Such Fun

You should have kept the car door open, called the taxi firm said that your taxi wasn’t there, when they contact the driver make him explain his pathetic behaviour

Yea they were total bastards
But totally unfair to blame taxi man. Have you ever tried driving taxis for drunk people. They have to put up with unbelievable amount of shit. He couldn’t put a hand on them to move them out and every moment sat there was money out of his pocket. I bet he has to put up with shite like that every single night of his working career.
So I totally don’t blame him.

I do feel for the driver in that situation as it’s difficult dealing with drunk demanding idiots. He shouldn’t have given in though.

You should have taken a photo of the drivers taxi plate number and told them you'd be reporting him to the council.

Why couldn't the driver call a cab for the four women?
