Dear Ebay and Facebook sellers, stop telling me how stunning and gorgeous your clothes are

Just a first world annoyance, but I'm so sick of people selling their second hand stuff and always using marketing words like gorgeous, stunning etc. I'm sick of reading "Stunning dress, size 12". It feels so false and the words lose all meaning when you use them all the time. Just take some damn photos and I'll be the judge of whether it's nice or not.

Definitely past my sell-by-date and now 'reduced to clear' I'm afraid!

Haha I'm guilty of this - I also use 'cute' to describe baby clothes i'm selling - sorry!

I think it stems from being an OG seller on eBay - when I started around 2001 it was a lot more descriptive and ppl used to list in this way. It kinda sticks with you!Smile

I had a bundle of baby clothes that didn’t get a single bed for weeks. Changed the title to include ‘super cute’ at the start and there was a bidding war.

I dislike it too really but not as much as I like getting stuff sold so I’m not going to stop 😬

‘Trendy jumper’. That tells me I don’t want to buy it, thanks.
