Yes, I am being unreasonable to not post this on the beauty board. But please give me your best eye cream and face mask recommendations!!

Oh you have to wear sunscreen every single day, not just when it’s sunny or windy (although yes, wind will make you burn more which isn’t always expected).

The jury is also out on topical collagen - what you need is sunscreen every day, a retinol product (or tretinoin, if you can get it) and a vitamin C product. Eye creams aren’t really going to make much difference unfortunately. And if your everyday skincare routine is good enough, you won’t need masks really, they’re just nice for relaxing with.

All of this. Invest in good retinols and sunscreen.

Face theory is excellent.

I want to add for menopausal spots, dots for spots have totally saved me. In combination with clean and clear deep clean facial wipes.

I’ve used so many different brands including really expensive ones, what I’ve found to be the best for me is looking for the particular ingredient I want and then shopping around. For instance I use facetheory vitamin c serum, it was £19, I was using skinceuticles vit c for £85, and I actually prefer the face theory results. I’m definitely a fan.

I also use tretinoin that I get prescribed from dermatica and my sunscreen although not the cheapest is La Roche Posay anthelios 50+ I use this daily as I’m on tret.

No soap just water, cheapest sunscreen foundation everyday, (think Rimmel), to prevent age spots etc, no alcohol, lots of sleep, lots of fruit and veg. Sunglasses or reactolight (?) so you'r not screwing up your face and encouraging wrinkles every time the sun comes out.

I hope no one is using soap on their face in this day and age, but if you are wearing SPF (which everyone should be) then you need a cleanser, not just water. Doesn’t have to be expensive - Cerave is a good option.

I also used to love the DrHauschka Quince Day Cream, I’d forgotten about that.

OP, I recommend the Boots Protect and Perfect 30+ sunscreen, comes in a little yellow tube. Also available in 50+ but I use 30+ on a day to day basis as the level of protection between 30 and 50 is not huge but 50+ requires a lot of additional chemicals that I don’t want in my face all day, every day. I don’t use a face moisturiser in addition to sunscreen, but I do use it over vitamin C. This sunscreen gives a really nice glow so it’s actually making you look better in both the short and long term. I too hate sticky unpleasant formulations of sunscreen. Thankfully they are less common these days.
