Oh, and I do check the government update page. The problem is is changes with the law, publishes the changes at the point in time that the law changes, not in advance!

Yeah, but there is also an obligation on the government to make an easy task find announcement about the changes.

I guess retesting might be the way the government could go to make sure everyone knows the rules. Every 2/3 years to sit a theory test would refresh everyones ,memory and sort out any changes

The logistics of that would be horrifying! Trust me, I'm a retired lecturer. Booking online courses can be a bloody nightmare.

well best drivers take it upon themselves to keep up with changes to their terms and conditions of having a licence, if the alternative is so horrifying

Yes! Which lead us back to the government, DoT having responsibility for making updates much harder to miss.
