To be worried about Xmas presents!

My best friends husband caught Covid on the 23rd. When they are out of isolation they want to bring my sons Christmas presents round which will be lovely but part of me is abit worried about giving my sons them incase they have any trace of the virus on them.
Am I being ridiculous? Just wondered how long will be safe?

I sound ridiculous I know!

I'd hold off having your friend round until the new year. Say your son has a cold, anything, just make up an excuse. For the sake of a Christmas present, it will just have to wait.

Yeah its safe, do you ever accept packages and parcels because surely these could carry the same risk.

If you are concerned, you could ask your relative to put them in a bag now and bring them round in the bag, so they don't touch the actual presents?

It doesn't sound like the friends are coming for a visit, just dropping off the gifts.

The risk is minimal but you have a fair concern.

Do you have a garage or porch? Say you will be out, ask them to drop them off. Leave them for a week.
