Had a go at making a wreath just for our own door. Have had lots of comments about selling them but never know if it’s just people being polite or whatever 🤣😅 I’m absolutely NOT a crafty person whatsoever but was pretty chuffed with how it turned out!

Honest feedback please - would you pay for something like this? And if so, how much would you expect to pay? Anything that would make you more likely to buy it? Obviously could be made in other colours to suit taste 😊

Someone on our village FB page makes similar and sells them for £25.

IWishIWasABaller · 27/12/2021 14:40

Round here people make them to custom colour schemes and charge between 30-50 euro

IWishIWasABaller · 27/12/2021 14:40

Meant to say well done also op it's really lovely Flowers

NanooCov · 27/12/2021 14:55

It's very nice OP. I've seen similar but with far fewer baubles. I'd pay about £30 happily for that.

Willyoujustbequiet · 27/12/2021 14:58

I think its lovely OP and would pay £25-£30.

The ones around me this year have been 40 plus. One local market stall was £80 which I gasped out loud at.Grin

jackstini · 27/12/2021 15:11

I think it's lovely and would expect to pay £30-£35

Mine was from someone who started similarly, did her own and someone asked her to make them one

This one was £40, the church lights up Smile

I quite like it but I wouldn't pay enough to make it financially viable for you. Maybe £15-£20.

Handmade is obviously more expensive for good reason, but there's nothing about that handmade wreath that makes it more desirable than a mass produced one.

funinthesun19 · 27/12/2021 15:17

I’d pay about £20 for that. It looks lovely.

pastypirate · 27/12/2021 15:19

I reckon £30 at least. I wonder if you started quite early in 22 anc just made them to order it might be viable if you get some wholesale gear.

ThiagoSilvasToe · 27/12/2021 15:27

It's beautiful. I would pay £35.

@curtaintroubles having a bad day dear?

OP, I think it looks very nice and I would say £20-£25. I made one myself (brushwood base that I bought) with foraged holly and ivy and the holly was vicious. Artificial materials will be easier to work with I think, but I do prefer real plants. A friend makes hers from Christmas tree thinnings.

Mamamia7962 · 27/12/2021 15:58

I think it looks really lovely OP.

girlmom21 · 27/12/2021 16:02

I'd pay £20 for it.

icedcoffees · 27/12/2021 16:14

No more than £20 or so.

Jisforjuggling · 27/12/2021 16:24

I wouldn’t pay much more than £20 for any wreath. I think yours are lovely and I’ve seen similar for £50+

shouldistop · 27/12/2021 16:27

£20/25

SheWoreYellow · 27/12/2021 16:28

@HoardingSamphireSaurus you don’t “have” to pay yourself £10 an hour.
If the only opportunity you have to make money is while your child sleeps, then anything is a bonus?

SheWoreYellow · 27/12/2021 16:29

I really like it and would pay £30. It depends on your local market though, how much money people have.

invisiblereally · 27/12/2021 16:31

Yes I'd be really pleased with that & if I was buying one I'd expect to pay £25-30 if it wasn't from a shop with guarantee

thatsallineed · 27/12/2021 16:33

Double what it cost to make, plus your labour. You'd get quicker the more you do, though, and you could probably source the raw materials more cheaply in bulk.

mycatisannoying · 27/12/2021 16:36

They're beautiful. People in my city would pay a lot of money for these.

mycatisannoying · 27/12/2021 16:37

People saying £15 - 20 have rocks in their head, frankly.

Or a tight budget
Tillyvonpantsalo · 27/12/2021 16:42

£25 to £30". I like it!
